How might we educate ‘pracademics' that are able to navigate the largest social and planetary challenges of the current and next generations?

In 2024 the faculty of Philosophy of Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Design Impact Transitions (DIT) Platform will host the new master programme ‘Societal Transitions’; an ambitious transdisciplinary program in which students are taught how to understand, interpret and work on complex societal transitions.

Almar joined the design team in 2021 as part of his work as learning innovator at Impact at the Core. Together with colleagues he facilitated design sessions on educational vision and philosophy, program structure, course design and flow, constructive alignment and assessment. He drafted the assessment plan, based on principles of transformative learning and programmatic assessment. He also co-designed the impact-driven graduation project – in which they propose an alternative to the traditional master thesis, together with the outline of the leadership track

The plans are approved by the NVAO and Impact at the Core is at this moment invovled in the furhter operationalization of the design.
